Monthly chore chart
Chores down the side and one column for each date of the month across the top, so a whole month of ticks sits on one landscape page.

How to use this chart
- Use the monthly chart for habits that repeat most days, such as making the bed. Jobs that happen once a week fit better on the weekly chart where each square is bigger.
- Count the days in the month first and set the number to match: 28 for a short February, 30 or 31 for the rest. The columns are numbered one to the end of the month, so the first column is the first of the month.
- Tick with a pen or colour a square with a pencil. The squares are small, so a pencil with a fine point works better than a marker.
- Hang the sheet at the same place all month and look at it together on the same day each week. A gap in the squares tells you which chore needs a reminder, with no need to ask.
- At the end of the month, print a fresh sheet with the chores you want to keep. Dropping one that is a habit now and adding a new one keeps the chart from going stale.
Questions
Why one column per date and not per weekday?
A date column lets you see the whole month at once and spot gaps. A weekday grid repeats the same seven labels and fits better on the weekly chart.
Can I start the chart in the middle of a month?
Yes. Leave the early columns blank and begin ticking where you start, or use the weekly chart for a fresh seven days.
How many chores fit?
Up to eight, so that each row is tall enough to tick comfortably. With 31 columns the page is full, so the chore names are kept short.
Will it print on A4?
Yes, choose A4 under Paper and ink. The columns are resized to the new page and it still prints on one sheet.
